Statement on hospital attack in Kyiv

ERNICA is profoundly saddened by the recent attack on the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims. We stand in solidarity with the dedicated healthcare professionals who strive to deliver medical care to the children of Kyiv during these challenging times.

As a network dedicated to improving high-quality specialised care for children, ERNICA firmly believes that hospitals must remain a safe haven and should never be targeted under any circumstances, particularly children's hospitals, which care for the most vulnerable patient population.

It is imperative that the international community comes together to ensure that hospitals are universally respected as neutral grounds and that such regrettable attack does not happen ever again anywhere in the world.
